One of the major themes to come up in the lead up to and during DFZ 2021 was the question of what techniques can be included in the lace family. The 2021 edition was quite a pure window onto the world of contemporary lace with all of the artists working in either bobbin or needle lace, so for 2022 we want to reach out to artists and designers working in other off-loom techniques which can be considerd lace.
If you are (or know) someone who works with contemporary tatting, sprang, Carickmacross, embroidered laces, knitted lace, crochet lace, macrame or other handmade lace techniques we want to hear from you!
Submissions about bobbin and needle lace are still welcome too ;-)
We are accepting submissions for presentations & online workshops for DFZ 2022 (The symposium to be held 11-12 June) you can apply to give a presentation about your work, to teach a workshop or both.
Submissions close August 30
Successful applicants will be contacted by September 5.
