Fragile Economies, 2020, Fiona Harringto

As well as being a forum about the future of lace in art & design, DFZ also aims to be an incubator for a new generation of makers interested in exploring the possibilities of handmade lace techniques.

For the 2021 edition we will be sponsoring 10 scholarships for students currently enrolled in tertiary courses of: Art, Fashion, Textile & Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering and Mathematics. One scholarship will be given every month until the symposium in June 2021.

How to apply:

Applications can be submitted via Instagram, simply tag us @doily_free_zone with three images of your work (it doesn't have to be lace) and a few lines about why you would like to learn more about lace.
