There is something intrinsically familiar about lace; the fabrics themselves passed down through generations, and the skills so frequently learned from mothers and grandmothers…
For this edition we wanted to focus on the global family of lace techniques and the unique richness of this language.
#DFZ2022 will present the work of 14 makers representing12 countries who are creating extraordinary work using:
Bobbin lace, Crochet, Tatting, Carrickmacross, Macramé, Ñandutí, Lace Knitting, Sprang, Oya, Lacis, Tulle Embroidery and Chainmaille.
There is so much to discover...
The 2022 workshop program will take you around the world!
From Ireland to Paraguay, from the United States to Indonesia...
We have brought together a team of exceptional tutors from all over the globe who will share their knowledge and take you on an exciting lace journey from the comfort of your own home.
You will have all of the workshops to keep and work through at your own pace with the support of the amazing DFZ community.
